Trevor's VCDM 475-555 Blog

This was the fifteenths week of my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester.   I am currently in the process of editing a WIP version of Guy Vs. Grade to present. I'm trying to make it easier on myself by putting together all the footage, marking where I use the clapper then placing each piece of audio I recorded to it's respective clip that is marked. That way I can edit down the audio and the clips together into the cut that I want. Basically widdling it down. I also have to create a poster and advertising for the film as well, which I intend to do. 

This was the fourteenth week of my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester.   I managed to get all the filming I needed done for Guy Vs. Grade two weeks ago. I took the time to enjoy my Thanksgiving break and with the due date of the film coming up I am going to take the time to work on a rough cut and promotional materials for the film. My plan is to upload all the footage and audio and make a rough cut of the film from all the footage from the video first. Afterwards I'll then matchup the audio I recorded with the film. 

This week was the twelfth week of my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester.   I managed to get more filming done for Guy Vs. Grade with my friend who is playing both parts. We only have a few more scenes with Guy to film and then we can get to the scenes with Mr. Grad. E. The plan is to hopefully finish getting the rest of the Guy scenes finished next week and devote the rest of the day to Mr. Grad. E since he isn't in the film until the near end. 

This week was the eleventh week of my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester.   I managed to actually get some filming done for Guy Vs. Grade. I casted one of my friends in the role of Guy and we spent Thursday filming a good amount of scenes with Guy in them. My original plan was to film the scenes with Mr. Grad. E  first since he's in the film less but  unfortunately another friend of mine who agreed to play the role had gotten sick and couldn't do this any filming this week.  Things only got worse when he told me that he got COVID meaning he won't be able to do the role at all. I told him to get some much needed rest with hopes that he'll feel better. Because of this, my plan now is to have Guy and Grad. E be played by the same person with filming on different days. Because my friend is only available for two days out of the week, Tuesday and Thursday, the goal is to hopefully film the rest of the Guy scenes

This week was the tenth week of my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester.   Most of my time this week I spent putting together my final animatic and soundtrack for "Guy Vs. Grade".  I put out a casting call sheet so I can hopefully get some cast members before the second week of November. While I haven't heard back from any potential actors, I luckily have managed to find my cast in the form of my friends. I plan to start filming either next week or the following week after on the days they are  available. 

This week was the eighth week of my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester.   Most of my time this week I spent on putting together my final Digital Portfolio for Guy Vs. Grade. Mostly gathering the material I had already done, completing my shot list and getting my location release form signed.  I plan on working on making a casting call sheet so I can hopefully get some cast members before the second week of November so I can start filming for the rest of the month.
