VCDM 475-555 Weekly Production Report #2

This week was the second week my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester. 

This week we discussed what the title of our senior thesis films will be as well as beginning the start of writing our treatment for our films before we get to the script. We also discussed what makes a good pitch line for a film. 

The title of my film will be "Guy Vs. Grades" and the basic pitch for it is that it will resolve around an anxious college student coming home from his last day of his college semester. He does everything in his power to avoid checking his grades online, which becomes harder as his anxieties begin to manifest themselves into reality as he tries to relax. 

I already have a basic idea of where I want the story to go so hopefully coming up with a treatment for it won't be AS difficult. It's a very simple story as a whole. I look forward to getting started on it.

This was the fourteenth week of my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester.   I managed to get all the filming I needed done for Guy Vs. Grade two weeks ago. I took the time to enjoy my Thanksgiving break and with the due date of the film coming up I am going to take the time to work on a rough cut and promotional materials for the film. My plan is to upload all the footage and audio and make a rough cut of the film from all the footage from the video first. Afterwards I'll then matchup the audio I recorded with the film.

VCDM 475-555 Weekly Production Report #1

This week began the start of my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester.  While I don't have anything to really show for in terms of my Senior Thesis Film at this moment, I took the time to revise my pitch for the thesis yesterday. Originally I had turned in my pitch for a previous course and upon re-reading it I decided to make things more clearer in terms of what I am trying to achieve with my film.  After doing some revising I turned in what will be the final pitch for my film. VCDM 475-555 Weekly Production Report #11

This week was the eleventh week of my VCDM 475 course that will ultimately guide me in making my Senior Thesis to showcase next semester.   I managed to actually get some filming done for Guy Vs. Grade. I casted one of my friends in the role of Guy and we spent Thursday filming a good amount of scenes with Guy in them. My original plan was to film the scenes with Mr. Grad. E  first since he's in the film less but  unfortunately another friend of mine who agreed to play the role had gotten sick and couldn't do this any filming this week.  Things only got worse when he told me that he got COVID meaning he won't be able to do the role at all. I told him to get some much needed rest with hopes that he'll feel better. Because of this, my plan now is to have Guy and Grad. E be played by the same person with filming on different days.
